Dea Pierre has been in the food and beverage industry for 12+ years. She’s gone from back of the house to front of the house to running the entire house.
As a Brooklyn native who grew up in a Caribbean household, she was exposed to herbs, fruits, spice, and many flavors at a young age. As she got older, Dea experimented with various cultures foods and flavors. From catering at the UN to bartending many up and coming NYC events, Dea has found her way into every liquor/alcohol scene.
At the age of 21, she landed her first bartending job in a bar over stocked with liquors from all corners of the globe. The owner gave her the responsibility of creating signature drinks to move product. She had found her passion in creating one of a kind drinks that allowed guests to try something they would have never tried before.
“Once upon a time I didn’t like liquor at all. I felt they all tasted too harsh and flavorless, at the same time I had only tried it a few times. Bartending allowed me to try and compare light liquors to dark, sweet cocktails to tart, from frozen to straight up. It was from then I made it one of my goals to introduce people to the art of spirits and cocktails.”
